The Red Centre Channel is, at one and the same time, a world-class, online visitor guide and educational tool, accessible throughout the world as well as via latest-generation mobile devices on location; a virtual visitor centre for tourists; and an archive of the cultures, events, landscapes & wildlife of the region.

It brings together the knowledge and ideas of leading scientists, naturalists, historians, artists and indigenous elders; the skills of Territory writers, film-makers and other media personnel; and exclusive access to the largest and most comprehensive cinema-quality audiovisual library of the Red Centre, filmed over the course of 10 years, to create the Territory's largest ever single media project.

The Reef Channel is an international first that will bring together a wealth of scientific fact and research and management information in an all-encompassing user-friendly interface on the Indo-Pacific marine environment. For 9 – 90 year olds, students, teachers, lecturers, managers, politicians and those with any interest in warm waters.
