Upcoming children’s television channel ABC 3 has added Barney’s Barrier Reef – a 20 part ½ hour series for kids, based on Australia’s Barrier Reef - to its starting line up. “We are very excited about this opportunity” says Brett Shorthouse, ANHU Director and Executive Producer for the show. “ Barney’s Barrier Reef was popular in the UK when it first aired in January this year. We are proud of this show and we look forward to showing Australian kids what cool and crazy creatures we have in Australia’s very own watery backyard.” Barney’s Barrier Reef is a co-production between ANHU affiliate Digital Dimensions and the Children’s BBC (CBBC) in the UK. The series is due to air on ABC3 in December 2009.
